For most of 2026, a lot of multinational teams had a practical objection to Salesforce’s fully native contact center: it was not available everywhere they took calls. That changed this month. Salesforce has switched on its native Contact Center across much of Europe, and a carrier partner has added bring-your-own-carrier voice there on the same day.
Key facts at a glance
- Salesforce made its native Contact Center generally available in 30+ European countries, including the UK, on October 16, 2026.
- Salesforce says Australia and New Zealand follow in November 2026.
- Bandwidth says it is the first BYOC provider to support voice for Salesforce Contact Center in EMEA (release note dated October 16, 2026).
- New Service Cloud Core, Advanced and Max editions include 500,000, 1 million and 2.75 million Flex Credits.
If you run Open CTI today and serve customers on both sides of the Atlantic, this widens your options. Here is what was announced and how it fits the Open CTI retirement.
What Salesforce announced
In an October 13, 2026 Service Cloud update, Salesforce said it would make its native Contact Center generally available in Europe on October 16, going live in more than 30 European countries. The list includes the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal and Sweden. Australia and New Zealand follow in November.
Salesforce says the rollout is built to meet local data residency, sovereignty and regulatory requirements. It also described new “headless skills” that let teams set up a contact center conversationally through AI coding assistants, without working in the Salesforce UI.
The same post introduced new Core, Advanced and Max editions for Service. Salesforce says each one bundles Service Cloud, Contact Center, Workforce Engagement Management, Slack, Tableau Next, a Premier Success Plan and security features, with 500,000, 1 million and 2.75 million Flex Credits respectively.
BYOC voice arrives in EMEA
On the same October 16 date, Bandwidth posted a release note saying it is the first BYOC provider to support voice for Salesforce Contact Center in EMEA. Bandwidth lists 29 countries, from Austria and Belgium to Turkey and the United Kingdom. Agents handle inbound and outbound calls inside Salesforce, with voice carried on Bandwidth’s network.
BYOC matters for migrations because it lets you keep a carrier relationship, and often your numbers, while Salesforce runs the contact center layer.

How this fits the Open CTI retirement
Salesforce’s retirement notice says Open CTI reaches end of life on February 28, 2028, and that legacy connectors will stop working. Salesforce’s Trailhead migration module lists four Voice paths. Path 4 is Agentforce Contact Center, which Salesforce describes as fully native, with Salesforce providing telephony end to end and no third-party vendor or AWS account required.
Until now, that fourth path was hard to consider for a team with large European queues. With Europe live and ANZ scheduled, more global organizations can put it on the shortlist next to Partner Contact Center, where your current vendor keeps the telephony backend.
It does not make the native route the right one for everyone. Partner Contact Center still makes sense if your current vendor has a Salesforce Voice package and you are happy with its routing, IVR and channel coverage. The point is that the decision is now about fit, not geography.
Questions to ask before you choose
- Which of your countries are covered today, and which are waiting on a later wave?
- Do you need to keep your current carrier or numbers? If so, which BYOC providers cover your regions?
- Which edition would you buy, and how far do the included Flex Credits go at your AI usage?
- What does your current vendor offer on Partner Contact Center, and how do the two options compare on cost per seat?
What this means for your contact center
- Global teams have a new option. Europe and, from November, ANZ can now be part of a native Salesforce contact center plan.
- Carrier choice is opening up. BYOC in EMEA means changing your contact center does not have to mean changing your carrier.
- Edition pricing changes the math. Compare bundled editions against your current per-product spend before you sign.
- The deadline is unchanged. February 28, 2028 still applies to every Open CTI connector, wherever your agents sit.
- Compare at least two paths. Run native and partner options side by side for one real queue before you commit.
If you are comparing vendors while you plan, Partner Contact Center Powered by Vonage runs on Salesforce Voice, and Vonage Contact Center for Salesforce brings voice, video, WhatsApp, SMS, chat and email into the same Salesforce workspace.
