Meta is turning Muse chats into mini apps you keep coming back to.
On November 6, 2026, Meta introduced Spaces — custom experiences you design inside the Muse app by describing an idea in chat. Muse builds a tracker, planner, project board or similar workspace that lives in the sidebar or main tabs so you can reopen the same project later.
What Spaces can do
Meta’s examples include a holiday gift tracker, wedding planner, DIY board, school dashboard that pulls events from school email into a calendar, music tracker with releases and shows, client hub for freelancers, and a small-business order tracker. Users can adjust layout and behavior with Muse over time, hide unused Spaces, and schedule when Spaces appear — for example a work planner on weekdays and weekend plans on Saturday.
Spaces can connect to third-party apps so concert dates, price changes or savings progress update in the background without another prompt. Mark Zuckerberg posted that he had built a BBQ game, an event tracker and a home-control dashboard.
Adoption context
On Meta’s October earnings call, Zuckerberg said Muse agents had 10 million users in the United States and Canada less than two months after debut. Spaces follows Muse Voice, which Meta announced the day before for video chat with the agent. Meta says Spaces are available everywhere Muse is available and that it is exploring sharing Spaces for collaboration later.
Why it matters
Agent products are shifting from one-off chats to persistent, goal-shaped workspaces with app connections. Consumer and productivity vendors should expect buyers to ask how agents persist projects and sync third-party data.
B2B marketers in SaaS and collaboration can use this moment to contrast one-shot assistants with workspace agents that keep state — a clearer story for pipeline content and demos.
