Sentra Raises $150 Million to Secure Data for AI Agents

Governing what AI agents can touch is turning into real venture money.

On Wednesday, November 4, 2026, New York– and Tel Aviv–based Sentra announced a $150 million investment led by Capital One Ventures, with a Capital One representative joining the board. Existing investors Bessemer, Zeev Ventures, Standard Investments, Munich Re Ventures and Key1 Capital also participated. The round follows more than 300% year-over-year growth.

What the platform does

Sentra protects data at rest where it lives and controls which human and AI identities can reach it, combining DSPM, DDR, DAG and DLP capabilities. Its before, during and after model for agent access classifies data and applies least privilege, detects unusual access and remediates it, and shows what an agent could reach. Analysis happens in the customer environment without moving the data.

CEO Yoav Regev highlighted the agentic shift in the announcement. Lyft CISO Chaim Sanders provided a customer perspective. Sentra was founded in 2021 by Yoav Regev, Asaf Kochan, Ron Reiter and Yair Cohen. H-F & Co advised Sentra; Wachtell Lipton advised Capital One Ventures. Capital One’s lead role also signals that large regulated enterprises see agent data access as a board-level risk, not a niche tooling problem.

Why it matters

Agent access governance is becoming a budget line. Security and data vendors should lead with least privilege for non-human identities in enterprise pitches.

CISOs buying for 2027 will ask who can see what when an agent runs overnight — and Sentra’s raise shows investors believe that question has a product category behind it.
