How to Build a Landing Page That Turns Visitors Into Enquiries

Many businesses spend money on ads, then send every click to their homepage. The homepage tries to talk about everything at once: all the services, the company story, the latest news, the team. Visitors arrive expecting the specific thing the ad promised, can’t find it quickly, and leave.

A dedicated landing page fixes that. It’s a single page built around one offer and one action, whether that’s booking a call, requesting a quote or downloading a guide. Here’s how our team structures landing pages for clients running Google, Meta and other campaigns.

Start with one goal

Before writing anything, decide what you want visitors to do. Just one thing. “Request a free site visit” or “Book a 15-minute demo” is a clear goal. “Learn about us, follow us on Instagram and maybe call” is not.

Every element on the page should support that goal. Many landing pages remove the main website menu for exactly this reason: fewer exits, more focus.

Match the message to the ad

If your ad says “Same-day AC repair in Margao”, the landing page headline should say something very close to that. When the page matches what people clicked on, they immediately know they’re in the right place.

This also means one landing page often isn’t enough. If you advertise three different services, consider three focused pages, each matching its own ads, instead of one page trying to serve them all.

Write a headline that states the benefit

Your headline has a few seconds to keep someone on the page. Lead with what the visitor gets, not with your company name. Compare:

  • “Welcome to ABC Interiors”
  • “Modular Kitchens Designed and Installed in 30 Days”

The second one tells visitors exactly what’s on offer. A short subheading underneath can add a key detail, like your service area or what makes you different. Only promise timelines or results you can actually deliver.

Put the call to action where people can see it

Your main button or form should be visible without scrolling on both desktop and mobile, then repeated further down the page for people who want to read first.

Use button text that describes the action and the benefit: “Get My Free Quote” works better than a generic “Submit”. Keep the button colour consistent and distinct from everything else on the page so it stands out.

Keep the form short

Every extra form field gives people another reason to give up. For most service enquiries, a name, phone number or email and a short message are enough. You can collect more details in the follow-up conversation.

If you genuinely need more information, consider a two-step form: simple contact details first, then optional extra questions. And always tell people what happens next, for example “We’ll call you back within one working day.”

Show why people should trust you

Visitors who don’t know you need reasons to believe you. Helpful trust elements include:

  • Genuine customer reviews or testimonials, with permission
  • Photos of your real work, team or premises
  • Logos of clients you’ve worked with, if they’ve agreed
  • Certifications, memberships or years in business
  • A clear address and phone number

Only use real material. Made-up testimonials or stock photos pretending to be your team damage trust the moment someone notices.

Answer the obvious questions

Think about what stops people from enquiring. Is it price? Timing? Whether you cover their area? A short FAQ section can handle these objections directly. If you can’t share exact pricing, explain how pricing works or give a starting range you’re comfortable with.

Make it fast and mobile-friendly

A large share of ad clicks come from phones, often on mobile data. A landing page that loads slowly or needs pinching and zooming will lose people before they read a word. Compress images, avoid heavy sliders and test the page on a real phone, not just a desktop browser preview.

Adding a tap-to-call button and a WhatsApp link can also make it easier for mobile visitors to reach you in the way they prefer.

Track what happens

Set up conversion tracking so you know which ads and pages produce enquiries, not just clicks. At minimum, track form submissions and phone button taps. With that data, you can see whether changes to the page improve results.

Test one change at a time, such as a new headline or a shorter form, and give each version enough traffic before drawing conclusions.

Wrapping up

A good landing page is focused, clear and honest. One goal, a headline that matches the ad, a visible call to action, a short form, real trust signals and fast loading on mobile. Get those right and your ad budget works much harder.
